Do Not Seek Absolution – II is a Story Mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). This is one of the "Main Quests" of the game and players must complete it to advance the Story. Completing Story Missions opens up Stranger Missions as well as additional content throughout the game.

Do Not Seek Absolution – II Walkthrough
Following the event that happened in Do Not Seek Absolution – I, head back to town and look for Edith. Check your map and make your way to the far east side of Annesberg - you'll find Archie outside their house instead of Edith and tells Arthur that his mother insists that they stay and wouldn't take the money given earlier. Worried about his mother's safety, Archie asks Arthur to find her at Willard's Rest.
Head to the woods on horseback and follow the yellow dot on your map, eventually, you'll be prompted to stop once you've reached the train's bridge. Unmount your horse and search for the trail under the bridge - press both the corresponding button that shows to activate Eagle Eye to find the trail, follow it and you will find Edith with a man.
A cutscene starts where Arthur is able to threaten the man to leave, leaving you to try and persuade Edith to come with you. You will now be given an option on how to convince her, you can start with showing her sympathy or by demanding - it is recommended that you choose to Ask her once she has an emotional breakdown.
Once you've persuaded her, she will ride with you as you head back to Archie. Another cutscene starts where the mother and son reunite and Arthur compensates by giving them more money and insists that they start a new life - the scene ends with Edith taking the money, Archie thanking Arthur and the two leaves.
