Motherhood Walkthrough

1900s DMs

John Marston (you) are tending to simple ranch work when Abe heads over to tell you there's a telegram for you by the house. Head over to the house to find a messenger. Speak to him to retrieve the telegram and read it. It's a letter from Sadie Adler! She tells you of a job that can pay well, and says she's at the Valentine Saloon.

So as any loyal husband in the 1900s, you go over to tell your wife, Abigail Marston, about it at the cabin. However when you arrive, you find nothing but a letter on the table. It's a letter from Abigail, penned by a lady in Strawberry, telling you that she's run away with Jack Marston due to your recent actions. Upset, you check under the bed to find the present she left you -it's a shirt.

Honest Work

As you sit there, Mr. Dikens checks up on you and tells you he saw your missus leave with Jack. He once again questions your situation but you're able to talk your way out of it, once again. He then tells you to get back to work. So head over to the stables to do just that, by milking the cow at the point of interest.

A Rocky-esque montage begins to play as you milk the cow, showing you performing all types of rancher work at the Pronghorn Ranch. A title card shows on screen, reading "A few months later" then shows you unloading a wagon with Abe. Mr. Dikens approaches soon after and congratulates you on a good few months of work. You ask him if it's possible you speak to David Geddes for some help, and he says to go over to his house.

Head over there and Duncan Geddes will open the door. You ask for his father and Mr. Geddes emerges. You have a conversation with Mr. Geddes and ask him about putting in a good word for you to be able to obtain a bank loan, so that you're able to buy that Ranch in Beecher's Hope. He agrees to help and tells you to find Ansel Atherton at the bank.

You return to your cabin to don the iconic John Marston Attire, from the original RDR, then ride towards the bank to end the mission.
