Simple Pleasures is a Story Mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). This is one of the "Main Quests" of the game and players must complete it to advance the Story. Completing Story Missions opens up Stranger Missions as well as additional content throughout the game.

First Impressions
John Marston (you) is introduced to David Geddes via Mr. *****ens, and almost blows his cover as "Jim Milton" when he introduces himself as John before quickly correcting himself. Mr. *****ens remains suspicious but asks one of his men to give you a job to do.
Head out on his lead and he'll notice your wagon pulling up, so you ask him if you can drop by and say hi to your arriving family. When you reach them, you help Abigail Marston and Jack Marston into the cabin and have a quarrel with the missus before heading back out to continue your job.
Jim the Ranch Hand
After you leave the cabin, continue to follow the man while you speak on a number of things and he lets you know you'll be milking cows. When you reach the cow, the man now known as Abe teaches you how to properly milk it. Follow the instructions on screen and you'll milk away! Shortly after, Jack will appear and watch you as well.
When you're done with the cow, Abe will suggest both you and Jack follow him to the Barn and help with cleaning it up. Once you reach there, pick up the Pitchfork and get checking all the stalls. Use the Pitchfork to pick up the dung and throw it onto the wheelbarrow handled by Jack. Eventually a cutscene will play and when it ends, you'll be required to pick up one more pile of manure before having to put the pitchfork down and leaving the rest of the job to Jack.
Head over to the cabin to check on Abigail. Once you reach the cabin, you have a heart-to-heart and it fades to black. You wake up the next day in bed next to Abigail, and then promptly leave the cabin.
