The Aftermath of Genesis Walkthrough
Famine
You begin by speaking to Pearson who will tell you about the lack of food in the camp, and the need to obtain more. After debating for a bit, Charles Smith will enter and volunteer to help you hunt. He will also give you a Bow before you mount your horse. Follow him into the snow. When you head higher up the mount you cut into a cinematic of the two of you riding on your horses. When it cuts out, you'll shortly have to travel on foot and pick the bow from your horse before proceeding.
Prey
Charles will teach you how to use Eagle Vision which allows you to highlight the trails left by animals in a vision similar to Dead-Eye, where you can track their footsteps and even see the wind direction and how that affects your scent. Track the trail all the way until you find the deer. From far out enough, pull out your Bow and kill it, aim for its head for a quick kill. Once you kill him, Charles will tell you to find another, so use your Eagle Vision to track another one down. You'll eventually find two together, just aim for one for the time being, and once you have your kill, both you and Charles will pick one each up and mount them on the back of your horses.
Close Encounter
On your way back, you will speak to Charles about his involvement in the gang and the rest of the gang. Eventually, you'll come across a Grizzly Bear which Charles will tell you to avoid. So avoid it -trust me- and follow him back to your camp. Once you arrive, hitch your horse and pick up the carrion to drop it off with Pearson. You'll have a small interaction with Uncle for the first time too. He leaves shortly after, and Pearson asks you for help with skinning the deer you brought him back. Do so, and afterwards you speak to him a bit more before going away and the screen fades to black.
