The Spines of America Walkthrough

Seamus and Hosea

Arthur Morgan (you) find Hosea Matthews and Seamus taking outside a stable in Emerald Ranch. Hosea introduces the potential new business associate to you and after some convincing, he agrees to work with you on the condition that you successfully (and non-violently) rob his cousin Old Bob Crawford's stolen stagecoach. So you and Hosea venture out to Bob's House, discussing the mission at hand.

When you arrive, you stake the house out with Hosea and he proposes to either:

  • Go in the Day: he creates a distraction while you sneak in to steal the stagecoach.
  • Wait till Dark: he goes to steal the stagecoach while you loot the house.

The smarter move would be to wait till it's dark, that way you can slip in and out undetected, and take longer to loot the most you can.

After Dark

At nightfall, proceed towards the house. Check the windows to orient yourself before proceeding in. There are a total of two men inside the house, one sleeping in the room with the backdoor entrance, and Crawford upstairs. You can loot the target $45 worth of items downstairs alone, however you can almost double that by heading upstairs. For maximum stealthiness, crouch while you check the place out.

Once you've looted the whole house (or however much you choose to after hitting the target) head out to meet Hosea, and ride the stagecoach back to Seamus. Giving him the stolen stagecoach will unlock the ability to sell to him all things illegal. Once everything is done, Hosea will ask you if you're riding back to camp with him; doing so will allow you to return to the camp via cutscene.
