We Loved Once and True – II

After receiving the letter from Mary Linton in between the Money Lending and Other Sins III mission, she asks Arthur Morgan (you) to visit her at her house just south of Valentine. When you arrive at her door, a woman emerges with a revolver aimed at you. You ask her about Mary and she goes to fetch her. When she comes out, you learn more about her relationship with Arthur. She ultimately asks you to help save her younger brother Jaime Linton from a cult he's joined called the Chelonians. After having some debate you're given the option to help or not, to continue to We Loved Once and True – III, you must accept.

She tells you the group stays in an area south-east of the Cumberland Forest (shows up as Mary Linton mission on map).

Hey Brother

Once you locate the camp of Chelonians and they see you, they'll form a circle of protection around Jamie Gill and will converse with you. You can either choose to speak calmly to them, or fight your way through, either way Jamie makes a break for it on his horse.

Chase him down; this is a fixed sequence so don't worry about catching him earlier. Eventually you reach the railway, with Jamie narrowly getting past and leaving you on the other side as a train passes through. The two of you talk as the train passes, and once it leaves, Jamie points his gun at himself and it's up to you to disarm him using Dead-Eye. When you do, he'll run to hug you then agree to see his sister.

As you ride back, you learn more about the relationship between Jamie has with his father, and Arthur. Once you arrive at the train station, the siblings reunite and Mary thanks you for your help. You help them onto the train and before leaving, Mary makes a comment about Arthur never changing. The mission ends with Arthur writing into his Journal and narrating over, showing his sadness at the situation and his vulnerability for Mary.
