Friends in Very Low Places is a Story Mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). This is one of the "Main Quests" of the game and players must complete it to advance the Story. Completing Story Missions opens up Stranger Missions as well as additional content throughout the game.

Business Proposition
Arthur Morgan (you) meets Josiah Trelawny at the campsite, and he talks about a business associate he has in Rhodes that can give good tip-offs on stagecoach heisting. It peeks your curiosity and you head into Rhodes to meet this man. Some dialogue about Trelawny's disappearance and the events of past missions, is shared on your way there.
Upon arriving at the Post Office, Trelawny speaks to the man named Alden, and after a payoff, he gives you information on a stagecoach that you can rob very soon. He also tells you of his associate in Strawberry that you can do business with. With that information, you head out to find the stagecoach he was talking about. You find the spot to wait at and Josiah gives you a Lock Breaker to use on the lockbox while he distracts the driver.
Deception
You wait at the spot until the carriage passes, and when it does, Trelawny tells you to tail the wagon and rides ahead. He begins to sing and charm the passenger until she demands they stop the wagon. Wait until she exits the stagecoach to sing with Trelawny before sneaking over to the back of the coach and pick the lock to take the money out.
Once you do, leave undetected and Josiah will put an end to the singing, and send the wagon on its way. Return to Josiah to split the score and he also tells you to visit Alden from time to time, unlocking more stagecoach heists like this for the future.
