The Fine Joys of Tobacco Walkthrough

Meeting the Braithwaites

Arthur Morgan (you) arrives at the Braithwaite Manor and is guided into a room with Hosea Matthews, Sean McGuireCatherine Braithwaite and her son, playing cribbage. You get told to drive a wagon to Caliga Hall with Sean. On your way, Sean fills you in on your assignment to torch the Gray's tobacco field and you share some dialogue about recent events.

Right before you arrive, Sean points out that you might be recognized so you hide in the back of the wagon as Sean talks his way past the first guard. He climbs on board and rides with Sean until you reach the stable. Here the man, who's name is Hamish, climbs out and tells Sean to unload the wagon. Once Sean starts speaking to him by the barn door, climb out of the wagon and stealth kill the man. You and Sean will then bring his body in and shut the doors while you prepare for your plan.

Gray Infiltration

You make a plan to set the fields on fire while Sean deals with the barn. Once that's clear, you head out with Sean holding a big jug of moonshine. Follow Sean's lead to take cover and hide behind the crates to remain hidden from the man and the passing payroll wagon. Once it passes, Sean will take out the guard and you need to head into the tobacco fields to douse them in the moonshine.

Pour the moonshine in the areas on interest until Arthur tells himself it's enough, then proceed to the next. Be sure to crouch while in the fields to avoid detection from the patrolling guards. Once you've doused all the areas, return to Sean at the barn. Once again, be careful and avoid detection while doing so.

Light Em' Up

When you arrive at the barn, Sean will kill the guard inside and douse the whole barn, then ask you to do the honors. Select the Fire Bottles from your inventory then begin to set the barn then the fields ablaze. Grays will begin pouring out and you will have to shoot your way out against the waves of them.

Continue in the direction the Grays are coming from and you'll find the wagon that came in earlier. Check the back of the chest to loot the payroll then cut the horses free and ride them out. Follow Sean through, and you will have to shoot out a couple more guards as you escape Gray Manor.

Once you get far enough, you and Sean will talk for a bit before he asks you if you're going to camp with him. If you choose to, you'll return to camp via a cutscene.
