Icarus and Friends Walkthrough

Meet Mr. Bullard

To begin the mission, head over to Doyle's Tavern in Saint Denis to meet Sadie Adler. Arthur Morgan (you) will then discuss with Sadie regarding how to rescue John Marston. As soon as you walk in, a cutscene starts - after a brief conversation, exit the saloon and follow Sadie through town on horseback. She will then tell you about the plan: using a hot air balloon in order to get a good view of John's location.

Continue following Sadie until where you will find the hot air balloon where Mr. Bullard is waiting. Another cutscene will start where Mr. Bullard will mention that Sadie won't be joining. - Arthur will then get into the balloon and (you) will be in command of controlling it.

Locate John Marston

Once you have ascended to the skies and have control over the hot air balloon, make towards Sisika Island where you will need to pinpoint John as one of the prisoners. Eventually, you will reach a field near the barn and locate him by using your binoculars. Once Arthur calls out that he is certain that it is John, the guards will start shooting - the only thing you can do is to raise the altitude in order to escape. On your way back, another cutscene will start where Mr. Bullard sees Sadie being chased by a gang of O'Driscolls on horseback.

Damsel in Distress - Rescue Sadie Adler

Shoot down the O'Driscolls pursuing Sadie - without having a scope, use Dead-Eye to slow down time and line up your aim to quickly eliminate the pursuers. Eventually, Mr. Bullard will get shot and you will have to control the balloon - lower the rope, cross over the bridge and help Sadie escape by pulling her up in the balloon's basket.

Right after rescuing Sadie, the balloon will then crash on the other side of the river and more O'Driscolls will appear in pursuit. Keep an eye on your surroundings since more will emerge from the woods. Once you've eliminated most of the enemies or they have retreated, approach Sadie to start another cinematic and watch as Arthur and Sadie discuss over Colm O'Driscoll.

This marks the completion of the mission where you will move on to Visiting Hours.
