The Sheep and the Goats Walkthrough

Woolly Proposition

Arthur Morgan (you) meets John Marston in Valentine to see if he's picked up any leads. He tells you has something then gets you to go into the shop and buy ($0.00) a Rolling Block Rifle. You meet him back outside and head out on your horses. On your way, a conversation that gives away John's relationship with his family and Arthur is had before you ask where you're going. John tells you that your objective is to intercept a herd of sheep heading for an auction.

Round the Herd

John finds a vantage point and tells you to use your new rifle to scare the men herding the sheep below. After two shots send them running, you and John go to round the sheep up. You tell John to take a backseat while you round them up and herd them into town. Guide them in the direction you want them to go in by riding round to that direction; for example if you want them to go left, head behind them on the right and guide left. Maintain your pace and gather up any strays, to get them into town all together.

When you arrive, the Auctioneer can see through your ploy and demands a cut of the profit you make from the sheep. You reluctantly come to an agreement then are told to collect your pay after the auction. John tells you Dutch Van Der Linde is waiting at the Saloon so you head over.

Ain't Karma Lovely?

When you arrive, you see Dutch arguing with Leopold Strauss. When you tell him what you've been up to, he sends John and Strauss to make sure you get your pay. You sit and have a drink with Dutch until someone begins to yell out for Dutch from outside, and it turns out to be none other than Leviticus Cornwall and his cronies. He threatens Dutch for continuously robbing him and has taken John an Strauss hostage. You tell Dutch to entertain him while you set up for a counter attack.

Leviticus leaves and you both come out to face his men, pretending to surrender, you fill up your Dead-Eye to and hit them. Once your associates are out of their clutches, continuous waves of Cornwall's men emerge to take you down. Dutch and co. get behind a trolley and push it as you provide cover fire. When you arrive at your horses, you put Strauss on the back on John's as he is injured, and you're told to stay behind to fend them off as the rest of them head back to camp to pack up.

Kill the current wave of law enforcement then get on your horse to head out of Valentine and lose your wanted status. Once you do, return to camp.
